Celebrating Grand Rapids' "Beer City USA" title, the Whitecaps changed their name and logo to the Beer City Bung Hammers for one game on August 4, 2018. The overwhelmingly popular Bung Hammers have returned for encore performances every season, and will return again on Friday, August 14, 2026.
